Our client, a well-established commercial real estate organization, is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with commercial real estate experience who is looking to take the next step in their career.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned commercial properties
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Handle CAM, real estate tax, and operating expense reconciliations
- Review leases and ensure accurate rent billing and revenue recognition
- Partner with property management and internal stakeholders to support budgeting and forecasting
- Assist with audits and respond to accounting-related inquiries
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- 2+ years of commercial real estate accounting experience (required)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and property-level financial reporting
- Experience with property accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
